Altar Society

Altar Society

Our Altar Society was established in 1961 with 30 charter members. The purpose of the Altar Society is to beautify the altar and provide spiritual growth to the women of our parish through corporal works of mercy.

Some of Altar Society duties include

  • Provide items needed to beautify the altar for example altar clothes, candles vessels used for communion, linens and vestments
  • Cleaning of altar, sacristy, and sanctuary on 1st Friday of the month
  • Monthly mass offered for living and deceased members
  • Easter and Christmas flowers in memory of deceased loved ones
  • Washing and ironing of all linens

We meet on the first Tuesday of each month at 5 p.m. in the conference room of the CCD building.

Please contact Kathy Breaux or Denise Suarez with any question or if you would like to join.
