LaSalette Laity

LaSalette Laity

On September 19, 1846, the Blessed Mother appeared to two shepherd children, Maximin Giraud, 11, and Melanie Calvat, 14, at La Salette, France. Through the children, she gave her message of Reconciliation to the world.

She requested that this message be made known to all her people.

Mary's apparition at LaSalette is a modern-day reminder of an ancient truth: that Mary constantly intercedes for us before God; that she is the Reconciler of Sinners, calling us back to the message and way of her Son, Jesus.

PRAY   STUDY     SERVE

The LaSalette Laity is a faith formation program, in which participants learn ways to make Mary’s message known in our relationships with our families and with others.

We study together as a group or individually. We pray and reflect daily, read books, attend spiritual talks, and have days of reflection. We help with parish events. We serve our parish through the ministries we belong to.
